Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to join the Oculoplastics Division of the Department of Ophthalmology-Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University Medical Center and at the Oculoplastics service at Harlem Hospital Center, a public, inner city, community hospital and Level 2 trauma center. The candidate will split his/her effort equally between Harlem Hospital Center and Columbia University. Responsibilities at Columbia University Irving Medical Center include participation in the faculty practice of the Department of Ophthalmology, research, and teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. Responsibilities at Harlem Hospital include staffing the ophthalmology clinic, education and training of Columbia University residents, and call coverage.
The successful candidate will be appointed to the full-time faculty at Columbia University Department of Ophthalmology at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute with privileges at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and at Harlem Hospital. Candidates must have a distinguished record of excellence in clinical care, and a passion for teaching, and research.
Requirements:
License (or eligible) to practice Medicine in New York; Board Certification or Eligibility (ABO); Fellowship training in Oculoplastics.
