We are seeking a board-certified ophthalmologist to join our well-established practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a broad spectrum of comprehensive ophthalmology cases while also performing oculoplastic procedures, including functional and cosmetic eyelid surgeries.

This position offers a busy and diverse patient load, covering conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, and other anterior segment disorders. The role will also involve surgical and non-surgical oculoplastic treatments, such as ptosis repair, blepharoplasty, entropion/ectropion repair, and lacrimal procedures.

Additionally, there is an exciting opportunity to participate in teaching and research through the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Ophthalmology Residency Program, providing mentorship and hands-on training for residents.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations, including advanced diagnostics and treatment planning.
  • Manage medical and surgical ophthalmology cases, including cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, and retinal pathology.
  • Conduct functional and cosmetic oculoplastic procedures, including eyelid surgeries, and minimally invasive treatments.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging, such as anterior/posterior segment OCT, fundus photography, and visual field testing.
  • Work collaboratively with optometrists, subspecialists, and referring providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients on disease management and preventive care.
  • Maintain clear, thorough, and timely documentation in compliance with medical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification in Ophthalmology (American Board of Ophthalmology).
  • California medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Proficiency in comprehensive ophthalmology with comfort in oculoplastic surgery.
  • Skilled in both medical and surgical management of anterior segment disease.
  • Strong diagnostic acumen, with experience in utilizing modern ophthalmic imaging and laser technology.
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
