ORBITAL AND OCULOPLASTIC SURGERY FACULTY POSITION
The MCW Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an academically oriented fellowship-trained orbital and oculoplastic surgeon to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This is an open-rank, full-time position in a traditional- or clinician-educator track.
The position’s clinical activity is centered at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute. While the practice is largely adult oculoplastic, some pediatric oculoplastic care is included. Ophthalmology faculty members provide clinical coverage at the Children’s Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center. The Section of Orbital and Oculofacial Plastic Surgery currently comprises 6 faculty and 2 AUPO/ASOPRS-accredited fellows, representing one of the nation’s largest oculoplastic practices. It is fully invested in the training of the Department of Ophthalmology’s 16 residents and closely collaborates with related MCW disciplines.
Successful candidates should bring strong clinical and surgical abilities and well-refined interpersonal skills. Candidates must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology, must have completed an accredited Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, and be eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin. Interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported.
